In-Store Selling Process
1. Visit us in store with the gold, jewellery, coins, or bars you wish to sell. All items must legally belong to you and be free from any police interest.

2. Bring valid photo identification. You must be over 18 to sell to us.
3. Your items are carefully assessed for weight, purity, and condition using professional testing methods.
4. Where jewellery contains stones, these are reviewed during assessment. Stones with little or no value may be removed to obtain an accurate metal reading. In some cases, removed stones cannot be returned.
5. Bullion coins and bars are assessed separately. Items produced by recognised mints and in acceptable condition are purchased at bullion value.
6. Damaged, mounted, altered, or unrecognised bullion items may be valued at their scrap metal content instead.
7. We calculate your offer using the live metal price at that exact time. Previous online prices or Scrap Calculator estimates may differ from the final offer.
8. Individual jewellery pieces may be considered separately, especially where their form or characteristics add interest beyond standard scrap value.
9. You are presented with your offer in store, with a clear explanation of how the value has been determined.
10. You can choose to accept or decline the offer. There is no obligation to proceed.
11. If you accept, payment is made via UK bank transfer, usually the same day. Payments can only be made to a UK bank account in your name.
12. Cash payments are available up to £500. Please check the amount before leaving, as completed transactions cannot be revisited.
13. Once payment has been made, ownership transfers to us and the transaction is complete.
14. While we aim to purchase all items presented, we reserve the right to decline certain goods at our discretion.
In-Store Selling Process
1. Email us at info@swiftgold.co.uk or call us on 0121 725 3250 to discuss the process and the current guide price. (Please click here to see when our lines are open) We will issue you with a reference number for the proposed transaction.
2. You will then receive an email with a PDF version of the “Sell To Us” form that you must print out and sign.
3. Send Your Items
Post your items securely to us and include your name and address inside the parcel. As payment is made by bank transfer, please also include your name, account number, and sort code so your payment can be processed without delay.
4. Delivery Address
Send your parcel to AGL, 8 Beacon Road, Birmingham, B43 7BP. We recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery as it is the most reliable service. Parcels can be insured up to £2,500. If your items exceed this value, they should be split into smaller parcels, each under £2,500.
5. Hand Delivery
You may also hand-deliver your items by prior appointment at AGL, 8 Beacon Road, Birmingham, B43 7BP. A full receipt will be provided, and valid identification will be required.
6. Next Steps
Once we receive your parcel, our team will contact you to finalise the price.
7. Payment
Payment is made via bank transfer, with funds typically appearing in your account within 48 hours. Same-day payment may be available depending on cut-off times and limits.
8. Important Note
All quotations are estimates based on current metal prices. Once your items have been tested for weight and purity, a final price will be confirmed based on the live market rate on the day your goods are received.
